Daybill Poster.Adventures of a Plumber's Mate is a 1978 British sex comedy film starring Christopher Neil as Sid South. Following on from Adventures of a Taxi Driver and Adventures of a Private Eye, this was the final of the series which attempted to occupy the same market position as the better-known and more successful Confessions series starring Robin Askwith. Elaine Paige made her film debut in this British sex film. She however later attempted to have her name removed from the advertisements for the film after she became famous in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita". At the time the British film industry was in a very poor state and often sex films were the only opportunity for actors to appear on screen. Like the Carry On Films, this series now enjoys a cult following.
